In 2023 we were able to grow the board with even more diverse and enthusiastic members dedicated to helping YTA

do more for under-resourced Bay Area youth. YTA is beyond fortunate for their leadership, guidance, and commitment.

Every effort has been made to

list donors accurately. We apologize if

18 2023 ANNUAL REPORT

The Berkeley Tennis Club

and their Foundation

have been long-time supporters of YTA, and this

year, they went a step further by donating the

use of their beautiful, iconic tennis club to host

our Big Hitters pro/am event. It was all-hands-

on-deck on a very cloudy, potentially rainy Sat-

urday morning in December, as volunteers and

staff began squeegeeing the courts and setting

up. By the time the players arrived everything

was ready to go!

The day was a true community effort, with the

collaboration between the Berkeley Tennis Club

staff, YTA volunteers, and the always impressive

Cal Men’s and Women’s Tennis teams making for

a remarkable and fun-filled day of tennis. Even

the weather played along—the rain stopped

just as the event began and resumed only as we

wrapped up!
